  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Issue Error : AH00543: apache2: bad user name ****

Erwin Fiten

Basic Pleskian
Server operating system version
Debian 11.7
Plesk version and microupdate number
Version 18.0.54, last updated on July 23, 2023 03:42 PM
Yesterday I did an OS upgrade from Debian 9 to 10 (as far as I saw without an issue), and then from 10 to 11, using the howto from Plesk.
Always kept old configurations if asked for.

Now I get the following error on the start page of Plesk :

New configuration files for the Apache web server were not created due to the errors in configuration templates: AH00543: apache2: bad user name unifi. Detailed error descriptions were sent to you by email. Please resolve the issues and click here to generate broken configuration files once again or here to generate all configuration files. See the details in Configuration Troubleshooter

Don't know where to find it. the user 'unifi', the only thing this is related to, is an old subdomain I once created.

Is there a way I can figure out where this error is, and how to solve it ?

Erwin
