• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

error connecting to control panel: unavailable 503

After just having installed plesk on my windows server 2008 (using complete option) I tried to go to my control panel (at http://localhost:8443) first I got a 'this page does not excist' message. I then noticed that the control panel service wasn't runing, so I started it from the service monitor. But when I tried going to the control panel now I get a 'service unavailable' 'http error 503: the service is unavailable' message. Also after a view minutes the control panel service stops. I've run all the installation checks and file permission checks that I could think of and that are provided with plesk, but without access to the control panel, there's not a whole lot I can do.

PLEASE HELP!!!

Hi,

Are you using Apache engine or IIS engine for the Plesk? If you are using IIS engine be sure the application pool of the plesk is not disabled.

Hi,

I'm using IIS. How do I check the application pool??

I found the application pool in IIS. Plesk(default)(2.0)(pool) is started and set on intergrated.
In advanced settings everything is set on or allowed as far as I can see. I did see that 'service unavailable response type" was set to 'http level', other choice was tcp level.

I'm expiriencing exactly the same problem!
Have you found the solution or are you still waiting for a answer?

Kind regards,

Glenn
