• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Error trying to restore backup

JeremiahC

New Pleskian
I've got a customer that were moving from 8.5 to 10.0.1. I get this error when trying to add his backup into the repo

"The backup you are trying to import does not match the user type 'domain' "

Any help would be awesome, trying to get him up and running ASAP.

Thanks

As I see you have support ticket regarding this problem. I hope that support team will help you soon. Also this problem can be caused by URLScan installed on IIS that size of uploaded files is limited. Do you have it?

I have the same problem here... i'm trying to migrate one domain from Plesk 8.6 (it's on our dedicated server, all domains are under one "client") to Plesk 10.4.4 (another vps server: on this for each domain, we will create a "client")

The error is the same. I tried another set of backup, but same error....

Looking at files inside the backup (it's a zip file), i see that in xml file there is an "id"... can be this the problem?
Is it possible migrate one backup from one server, to another with higher plesk version?

thank you for your support
