• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Event Manager: 'Mail account updated' returns the new password in the wrong variable

With the help of http://download1.parallels.com/Ples...inistrator-guide/index.htm?fileName=67897.htm I'm trying to use 'Mail account created', 'Mail account updated' and 'Mail account deleted' to build a unified authentication interface for all the email accounts scattered across various Plesk servers. When testing the handling of various variables for these events I found the following issue:
A customer can create an email account with no password. In this case, if the customer updates that account by entering a password for it, on 'Mail Account Updated' the password is returned in OLD_PASSWORD variable and NEW_PASSWORD is blank. I would expect it to be the other way around, OLD_PASSWORD should be empty and NEW_PASSWORD should contain the actual password.
Is the behaviour expected or it's a genuine bug?
