  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Executing Perl from cgi-bin directory

New Pleskian
Hi everyone !

I would like to execute perl scripts from the cgi-bin directory of one of my domains. The server is using Plesk 8.3 on Unix.

I checked the "cgi" and "perl" check-boxes in Plesk for my domain and for a web-user.

I can execute my perl script from http://mydomain.com/~webuser/cgitest.pl (and it should work from http://mydomain.com/cgitest.pl too), but can't do it from http://mydomain.com/cgi-bin/cgitest.pl : the file gets downloaded, not executed.

Any ideas where to tell Plesk that .pl files are executables in the /cgi-bin/ directory ?

Thanks for your help,
Paul-Henri
