  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question Failed restoring database backup from SQL Server Management Studio

inology

New Pleskian
Hi,

When I try to restore a database backed up by Plesk via SQL Server Management Studio it fails.

This is the message when I "Verify Backup Media":
Backup media verification failed: C:\Program Files (x86)\Plesk\PrivateTemp\pmm-mssdp-dd-dump-474b75d579244201a02390dd59fe474c (Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.RelationalEngineTasks)

There are about 50 SQL Server databases and all have the same problem.

‪Microsoft Windows Server 2016‬
Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio v17.7
Plesk Onyx Version 17.8.11 Update #47

Is it possible that any database backed up by Plesk can be restored via SSMS?

Tell me please, is it possible that you take a SQL dump and try to load it as a native SQL Server Management Studio dump?

I am not sure what you mean but it looks as if Plesk is backing up the database then moving that backup elsewhere without updating SQL Server where it is moved.
