• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

A new build of Plesk can be out for Fedora 8 ? Fedora 8 will out in 3 days and i did'nt want to switch to 8.2.1 and Fedora 7 (i'm actually) on 8.2 and FC6
Why a lag between Fedora and Plesk?

Because a new supported OS needs new builds, probably modifications and a lot of testing.

Fedora has a new release about twice a year (and only the latest two are supported by the Fedora Project). As it stands Plesk doesn't even support Fedora 7 yet, and Fedora Core 6 will be EOL'd by the Fedora Project in december. I'd say Fedora is moving way to fast for use as a stable hosting platform, but that's for you to decide.

Fedora is a nice distribution, but for serious hosting I'd look into using something like RHEL or CentOS (7 years of security updates instead of just over a year).
