  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Resolved forward mails get no error

New Pleskian
Hi,

I have a problem with forward mails.

Following example.

Email: test1@plesktest.abc (My adress in plesk)
Email: max@muster.abc (the forward adress insert in test1@plesktest.abc)
Email: sender@domain.abc (sender adress)

If I send a mail from sender@domain.abc to test1@plesktest.abc
Every thing is fine and max@muster.abc get the mail

But now if i change the adress max@muster.abc to max1@muster.abc (no existing adresse)
and i send mail to test1@plesktest.abc the sender sender@domain.abc get no error mail
like

Mail delivery failed: returning message to sender
This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:

test1@plesktest.abc
host mail.plesktest.abc [xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx]
SMTP error from remote mail server after RCPT TO:<test1@plesktest.abc>:
550 5.1.1 <test1@plesktest.abc>: Recipient address rejected:
User unknown in virtual mailbox table

Please can you help me ?!

Oliver

Have you tried running the following command to see if any errors are found?

# plesk repair mai

Hi Mark,

thanks for your answer.
The respones is 0 Error Messages, 0 Warnings and 0 Errors resolved.

... and i send mail to test1@plesktest.abc the sender sender@domain.abc get no error mail
like

Could you please clarify whether you mean "no error" mail or "one error mail", "an error mail"? If the sender does not get an error mail when the recipient mail address does not exist, this can indeed be correct when the sender mailbox is configured to not to respond to senders who are mailing to non-existent mailboxes.

After updating from Plesk Onyx Version 17.5.3 Update #43 to Version 17.8.11 Update #1, it works as desired.
Its look like a bug in earlier Version
