• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Forwarding emails add ? to emails

lee-chilli

New Pleskian
I've recently come across a new problem with emails being forward to icloud or
onmicrosoft.com

This is the bounce back being seen:

Reporting-MTA: dns; 191204.vps-10.com
X-Postfix-Queue-ID: C4B5A1BC074F
X-Postfix-Sender: rfc822; <sender email>
Arrival-Date: Mon, 28 Sep 2015 15:31:44 +0100 (BST)

Final-Recipient: rfc822; name@domain.onmicrosoft.com?
Action: failed
Status: 5.1.3
Diagnostic-Code: X-Postfix; bad address syntax

But if you check the forward then it's "name@domain.onmicrosoft.com".

Hi.

Still looking for help with this, the problem seems worse now as this is affecting auto reply emails.

I did ask the question here: http://serverfault.com/questions/725317/qmail-forward-email-adding?noredirect=1#comment903273_725317 however they closed the question due to it being off topic for plesk being used. We're using postfix for sending out emails, there was a mistake on the question when we guessed incorrectly qmail was being used.

Edit ---

Further information from an email the server normally sends out:

This is the mail system at host <servername>

I'm sorry to have to inform you that your message could not
be delivered to one or more recipients. It's attached below.

For further assistance, please send mail to postmaster.

If you do so, please include this problem report. You can
delete your own text from the attached returned message.

The mail system

<root?@servername> (expanded from <root?>): User unknown in virtual
alias table

On our server it should be root

Anything I can do to help others help me? What information would be needed? Been a week with no replies were other threads have had some replies.
