• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Hi

Can anybody advise on adding frontpage domains

I have tried creating users with unlimited resource and adding domains with limited resource, but everytime it gets to frontpage I get a not allowed message.

Where do I check to see if frontpage is active on the system

Thanks

Thanks for the link,

the frontpage management interface is blacked out.

Please look at Plesk > Server > Components Management > Web Publish and you should see like "Microsoft FrontPage 5.0.2.6738"

Thanks for that

The Web Publish line is blank, I take it that means Frontpage is not installed

This is the message I get when attempting to install

InfoDescription Requested Allowed
Microsoft FrontPage support enabled disabled
Microsoft FrontPage over SSL support enabled disabled
Remote Microsoft FrontPage authoring enabled disabled

I've scoured all the services and cant find anything that looks related to frontpage.

Excuse me, I don't understand.

If you have installed FrontPage Server Extensions on your server you should
1. go to page "Hosting Setup" of your domain
2. click on radio button "Enabled" for options "Microsoft FrontPage support" and ""
3. click "OK".

Next Plesk will install appropriate extensions on your domain and button "FrontPage" will appear on your domain's control page.

How do I install the extensions,

The info I have states
Our Windows VPS plans include full Administrator level access, Terminal Server access, MS Access database file support, ASP.NET 1.1 & 2.0, Frontpage 2000 & 2002 extensions, and Microsoft Management Console access. With your Plesk Windows VPS you'll have control over all standard Microsoft Windows 2003 services

I understood from this FP extensions were already installed

However I cant find them

Could you please export and share here Windows registry key
[HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shared Tools\Web Server Extensions]?

MS FrontPage Extension installation

Go to Add or Remove Programs
Add/Remove Windows Components
Scroll down and select Application Server, Click Details...
Select Internet Information Services (IIS), Click Details...
Check the FrontPage 2002 Server Extensions

Click Ok to apply the changes, note that you'll need the Windows Installation CD

Thanks for your help

FP is not listed as an option in the iis add components list.

After a number of emails to support they have finaly confessed its not been loaded or configured to enable addition by me.

Cheers
