  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

FTP Backup

Basic Pleskian
Hi guys,

I'm trying to setting plesk backups to own ftp server..

My ftp server is listening by the port 31.

My conf:

Server: mydomain:31
Directory: vpsbkp
User and password...
Passive mode checked

Here the error display: "Transport error: unable to list directory: Curl error: Couldn't connect to server"

Do you know what can be the problem? Where are the bkp ftp logs?

Thanks..

Are you sure that this port 31 is not firewalled? Have you tried connect to this port with telnet, for example?

Port 31 is open, I use vsftpd, aptana, filezilla, all works perfect. The problem is Parallels Plesk, my ftp server is working fine and the ftp user has permision for r/w.

I can't see any errors from Backup logs in "/usr/local/psa/PMM/logs/backup-<datetime>" about ftp repository configuration.

Have you tried to connect from your server to the remote repository via SSH?

If it does, have you tried using the command line Plesk Backup utility to test it? It's quite simple and you could use test it for just a domain to avoid waiting for an entire server to backup for each test run.
