• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

FTP issue with httpdocs

I have one client out of all of our customers at my company that can only FTP upload and even browse into his /httpdocs/ for a while and then eventually it just up and stops. Sometimes removing just one file will fix it or othertimes you have to dump a bunch, there is not ryme or reason behind it. We have moved him to a new server (just upgraded servers for all clients), with Windows 2003 (all patches applied) and Plesk 7.6.1 and he still has this issue. We have also completely removed his account and setup a new one with a new username and the same problem continues. Sometimes when this occures I'll look and his username has NO permissions set for viewing the folder, but even after setting them again the problem continues. My FTP log shows the following:

Any help, Please? This happened in 7.5.6 and now in 7.6.1 :(

UPDATE: Also this client looks to have 138 files in there httpdocs directory, maybe too many or hitting some kind of limit?

I was able to fix this by moving all of the customers pictures (around 127 of them) to a /images/ folder and it FTPs just fine :)

All fixed, so anyone else that has this issue now knows the fix...don't have too many files in the base /httpdocs/ folder :)

Check the windows firewall

I solved this when i add the program C:\WINDOWS\system32\inetsrv\inetinfo.exe on windows firewall excpetions

Conection in active mode ( not passive pasv ) can work some times
