  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Hi, I just finished installing plesk 8.2 on a fedora core 6 server and there was no ftp server installed..

I tried to use the install site application but there is no ftp server located here..am I missing something?

Normally I would just use yum to install vsftpd or proftpd...is that still the way to install with plesk installed?

thanks for any help

Hi,

Normally proftpd is installed with plesk... which distro / Plesk version are you using? Are you using the autoinstaller or the full RPM packare?

Regards.

I used the auto installer 8.2 and fedora core 6

it looks like its installed in /usr/bin/in.proftpd but there are no control on the cp and it is not working

Is xinetd started?! do you have it enabled in xinetd.conf or in the individual proftpd configuration file for xientd?

Regards
