• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question FTP not work in local network

vardar

New Pleskian
Hi, I have some problem connecting via ftp.
I connect from one PC to another through the local network (from IP 192.168.1.4 to IP 192.168.1.5) so I have no problem opening ports on router.
If I try to make a passive connection, I get an ECONNREFUSED error and I just can't connect. If, on the other hand, I try in active mode, the connection is successful, but I get a "425 Unable to build data connection" error during folder reading.
Can anyone suggest anything?

Hi vardar,

Have you tried to connect to the external/public IP-address from the internal network (if it is accessible)? Is NAT used in your configuration? (if yes, check "/etc/proftpd.d/50-plesk.conf").

My FTP connection is between two pc connected to the same local network. From the pc with ip address 192.168.1.4 I would like to connect to the pc with address 192.168.1.5. if i try to connect from external pc, opening port 21 on router, the connection times out.
