Do you had Plesk already installed there? What about recovering Plesk with /usr/local/psa/admin/bin/autoinstaller ?

You're right;
via ssh I can access /usr/local/psa/admin/bin/

and in this rep I found
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 15 mai 1 2009 autoinstaller -> ../sbin/wrapper
-r-xr-x--- 1 root popuser 4735 déc 22 2008 courier_authpsa_configure
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root psaadm 15 jan 9 16:03 drwebmng -> ../sbin/wrapper
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 15 jan 13 2009 listmng -> ../sbin/wrapper
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root popuser 15 jan 13 2009 mail_auth_view -> ../sbin/wrapper
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 15 jan 13 2009 mailmng -> ../sbin/wrapper
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 15 jan 13 2009 mailqueuemng -> ../sbin/wrapper
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 jan 13 01:46 modules
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 15 jan 9 15:59 update_list.py -> ../sbin/wrapper

I also have 2 backup -made before the crash-
-backup_srv_sites_info_1001121857.xml.tgz
-config_info_1001121855.xml.tgz

I have 2 copy of each - on my destop and on the server (but I do not know where)

How can I use /usr/local/psa/admin/bin/autoinstaller to restore my server?

ok I tri to use autoinstaller - ...without success

I put here the steps I followed

1-search information
[root@srv /]# locate autoinstaller
/root/.autoinstaller
/root/.autoinstaller/options.ini

What is wrong?

hum Igor,
I'm still confused,
I post a reply, and I can't see it in the tread (?)
it's normal ?

Posts and threads pre-moderation here.
Just run /usr/local/psa/bin/autoinstaller without any options and follow to menu there.

Ok I finally concluded the restoration of Plesk
All hosted sites are back online
and I resolve my problem with php5.3
which led to the disastrous series that inspired this post

notes:
I intall php5.3 to resolve an incompatibility with the XML-RPC interface of Wordpress
I wanted to return to php5.2 because Dotclair is not yet compatible with it

meanwhile I found a patch that solves this problem -> patch php5.3 for Dotclair

how I reinstalled Plesk

Step 1) "autoinstaller" refuses to work

# /Usr/local/psa/bin/autoinstall
Search for packages installed ...
ERROR: There are no release any installed product ID from plesk

Step 2) I will reinstall the previously removed dependencies with php5

How to declare the Plesk repository for Yum ?

create its definition in/etc/yum.repos.d/
# Nano /etc/yum.repos.d/plesk.repo

Add the following lines in the file:

name = fc8 plesk PSA_9.2.2
baseurl = http://autoinstall.plesk.com/PSA_9.2.2/dist-rpm-FedoraCore-8-i386/
enabled = 1
gpgcheck = 0

[PSA_9.2.3]
name = fc8 plesk PSA_9.2.3
baseurl = http://autoinstall.plesk.com/PSA_9.2.3/dist-rpm-FedoraCore-8-i386/
enabled = 1
gpgcheck = 0

[PSA_9.3.0]
name = fc8 plesk PSA_9.3.0
baseurl = http://autoinstall.plesk.com/PSA_9.3.0/dist-rpm-FedoraCore-8-i386/
enabled = 1
gpgcheck = 0

and save the file, that's all

now I can use Yum to install dependencies

Step 3) I tried again "autoinstaller"

PSA_9.2.2 not install -> version conflict php5.3 vs. php5.2

PSA_9.3.0 appears to install correctly

Step 4) I connect> https://xx.xx.xx.xx: 8443

then I get this wonderful error message

ERROR: PleskFatalException
StatInfo-> getProductVersion failed: file_get_contents () failed: ...etc.

The problem and its solution are discussed here -> http://forum.parallels.com/showthread.php?t=85611

for me the output of # rpm-qi psa
is -> Version: 9.2.2 (!!!)

I filled the file /usr/local/psa/version with this info

and I can finally connect to panel (9.2.2)

First observation - Apache refuses to start

I check the updates

All packages are 9.3.0
Except Base-packages which remained 9.2.2
an update from the panel finaly restore the situation.

conclusion:

Now that all is working again I think I'll go drink a beer

that's all
thank you.
