• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

High IO wait

Tyson_Moore

Basic Pleskian
We are currently experiencing high IO wait on our Plesk server and haven't been able to determine what the issue is. It seems to be fairly much random and happens quite often, even when doing things over SSH connection.

The CloudLinux server is currently unlicenced (which we are going to purchase soon) so haven't installed iotop from the CL repository, and don't really want to install/compile it myself, as it will likely break something:p but thought there might be an issue that someone may know about.

Our platform consists of an IBM x3550 M2 server (2 x Xeon 5335 2Ghz quad cores, 24GB ram, WD Green drive... yes I know):

Virtualised using XenServer:
1 Plesk server with 7GB ram assigned to it.
1 cPanel server with 7GB ram assigned to it.

The cPanel server doesn't seem to have the same issue, so not so sure it is the drives.
