• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Horde error - unable to create VFS directory /.horde/imp

JacobColton

New Pleskian
Hi,

We are having an issue when users are trying to add attachments via horde the error:

unable to create VFS directory /.horde/imp

appears.

Any suggestions on how this can be resolved?

Thanks,

Jacob

Any related errors in horde log /var/log/psa-horde/psa-horde.log ?
Do you have SELinux enabled?

So it appears (after opening a support request) that this is a new issue within Plesk. The issue is that the permissions on the /tmp/.horde/ folder are incorrect.

In order to fix you, check the horde user and then reset the owner of that directory.

[root@server ~]# grep "horde" /etc/passwd
horde_sysuser:x:497:10384:horde webmail user:/usr/share/psa-horde:/sbin/nologin

[root@server ~]# chown -R horde_sysuser:horde_sysgroup /tmp/.horde/

Parallels are apparently going to post a KB article on this shortly. It is currently only in their internal KB.

Hope that helps someone else.

Regards,

Jacob
