How can we make all website requests go to www.xxx

I have a domain which has a website built in Web Presence Builder. That allows people to go to http://domain.com. When they do that, for Google analytics purposes (I do not want Google Analytics to show 2 pages of http://domain.com and http://www.domain.com), I want to ensure that any request puts www. in it automatically. How can we ensure that please?

You will have to setup the redirection in .htaccess file for your domain so that all traffic will be redirect to www

Thank you for your response InderS. I added this in .htaccess:

Options +FollowSymLinks
RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^domain.com [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.domain.com/$1 (L)

but that is not working. Can you possibly help me with what is wrong with that? In the error_log I see

[Wed Jun 18 13:14:52 2014] [alert] [client 111.222.333.444] /var/www/vhosts/domain.com/httpdocs/.htaccess: RewriteRule: bad flag delimiters

I hope that helps identify what I have done wrong?
