How do I add a wildcard subdomain entry?

I'm using Plesk 12 update #77 and I'm trying to add a wildcard mapping so that all subdomains for a given domain route to the main domain.

According to this (rather old) post: http://kb.odin.com/en/2239 I should enter a '*' for the subdomain, however this gives an error: "The subdomain name is invalid. You can use only alphanumeric characters and a hyphen (-) for subdomain names."

Can someone explain how I should add a wildcard mapping for subdomains? Thanks!

Do you have Plesk for Windows or Linux? As you can see, there is the note in this KB article - Note: The below solutions are for Linux only and will not work on Windows, because IIS does not support wildcard host headers.
