  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question How to enable 301-Redirect for Plesk Panel (http to https)

bystart

New Pleskian
Hello, I want to enable 301 forwarding for my Plesk host. I don't mean a subscription, but for the Plesk server, i.e. the panel itself.
I want http requests to be forwarded to https.
How can I do that?

Thank you in advance for the answers and help!

I am using the latest version of Plesk Obsidian, the operating system is Debian 10 (latest version).

  • Log in to Plesk.
  • Go to Domains > example.com > Hosting Settings.
  • Enable the setting Permanent SEO-safe 301 redirect from HTTP to HTTPS and select your certificate from the drop-down menu. Apply the changes.

Hello. Thanks for the answer. I dont mean a Domain, hosted in Plesk, i mean the Plesk panel itself (mydomain.com:8443).

The panel is always SSL protected if you have installed a certificate on it. That is why it is on port 8443 and not 8080. The "443" indicates the secure port. How do you manage to open the :8443 address without https?

Why would you want that login page to have a high ranking? Normally people are trying to hide logins so that hackers cannot find them easily.
