  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
    If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question How to import large sql dump via CLI

SamirM

Regular Pleskian
Hi,
I have a CentOS 7.4 wit Plesk Onyx 17.5.3 and need to import a very large MySQL db ( abt 1Gb).
I have created the db in the Plesk panel, and cant seem to find a way to import the db via CLI.

On CentOS6x and with Plesk v12x, I could easily do this, but am a little stumped with Onyx and CentOS 7.
Will appreciate any guidance

Samir

Hi SamirM,

cant seem to find a way to import the db via CLI.
You might consider to use an example command like ( logged in as user "root" over SSH ):
Code:
MYSQL_PWD=`cat /etc/psa/.psa.shadow` mysql -uadmin YOUR_EXISTENT_DATABASE_NAME < /COMPLETE/PATH/TO/YOUR/DATADASE_DUMP.sql
... to restore your dump - file.
