• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

The author makes no statement as to the particular legality or fitness for purpose of this procedure that installs FrontPage support into Plesk for *nix 8.1 and better.

FrontPage server extensions are proprietary intellectual property and must only be considered for use under terms consistent with their licensing.

Now that all that's out of the way, this procedure has been found to work on a Plesk 8.1.1 install over CentOS 4.5

Step 1: Create a working directory and step into it.
# mkdir /home/plesk8
# cd /home/plesk8

Step 2: Download Plesk 8.0
# wget ftp://download1.swsoft.com/Plesk/Pl....1-centos4.2.build80061203.19.i586.rpm.tar.gz

Step 3: Unzip then untar the download:
# gunzip psa-8.0.1-centos4.2.build80061203.19.i586.rpm.tar.gz
# tar -xf psa-8.0.1-centos4.2.build80061203.19.i586.rpm.tar

Step 4: Use RPM to install FrontPage support:
# rpm -ihv /home/plesk8/dist-rpm-CentOS-4.2-i386/opt/fp/frontpage-5.0-72psa.centos4.2.i586.rpm

Now when you open Plesk and go to a domain's setup, you will find that FrontPage support has returned in the control panel. You will need to enable it and save in order for it to become effective.

This how-to is intended for CentOS installs. Other RedHat-type operating systems are likely to function the same way, although I have not tested on any other platform.

Your mileage may vary, void where prohibited, author not responsible for this how-to borking your machine. Backup backup backup!

Is there anyone who fixed this problem?
Cannot load /usr/lib/httpd/modules/mod_frontpage.so into server: /usr/lib/httpd/modules/mod_frontpage.so: undefined symbol: apr_filename_of_pathname

Thanx!
