How to recreate chroot directory?

I was probably damage this structure or it has been broken by upgrade proces, so I'm getting msg. execv /bin/bash error - permission denied (ssh or chroot chrootdir/). Dirs are in /var/www/vhosts/chroot. Is any method to make it as new default structure?
OS - debian Etch.
