• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question How to set custom MySQL settings they will not be overwritten on the next plesk update?

jmar83

Regular Pleskian
I need to build up a MySQL master-master cluster (so sync in both directions), but i think plesk will overwrite my custom settings on the next update or version?

(I've built up a test system with 2 raspberries with that manuel Configure Master-Master MySQL Database Replication , that seems to work and now i will text it on your development servers)

Is there a text field in the plesk web GUI where i can add MySQL custom settings (similar to used-defined apache conf entries)

Thank you for your feedbacks. :)

Best regards from Switzerland,
Jan

Plesk should not interfere with custom configuration files placed in /etc/my.cnf.d/ or /etc/mysql/conf.d/ directory (location depends on your OS).
