  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

How to stop Plesk removing Smarter Mail log files?

SmarterMail log files are removed by Plesk (not SmarterMail) every three days.

SmarterMail is set never to remove the log files. i.e. a value of 0.

How can I control this occurance as I want to increase the time period significantly? I can not find the setting in Plesk Control Panel.

Thanks
Lea

By using Filemon from Sysinternals the culpret has been tracked down to the application 'satistics.exe', which is a Plesk task started at 3AM every day.

Why is statistics.exe deleteting my SmarterMail log files leaving only 3 days available, and how can I ammend it's behaviour?

Many thanks

Gentlemen,

Thank you for the report. This issue was partially solved.

1. download updated module statistics.exe and copy it to folder %plesk_bin%.
Please backup old module before copying.
2. Specify registry value SaveMailLogsDirectory which point where Plesk should store processed Mail log files:
[HKLM\SOFTWARE\Plesk\PSA Config\Config]
"SaveMailLogsDirectory" = "<full destination folder name>"

Sorry for so long delay.

Hi sergius
