  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

HTTPD_INCLUDE_D not defined

After a failed upgrade to 8.0.0 I now get this email error. Needless to say my email does not work on the server.

Has anybody seen this error before?

Thanks.

I had same your error when I used plesk updater. then I updated plesk from shell and saw that my server host name is not as my reverse dns says . so I changed hostname as like revers dns says.
plesk installed and every thing seems to work fine (for now)

could you tell me what commands you ran from shell to change the name and upgrade plesk?

To change the host name on GNU/Linux systems and in Plesk:

1. Edit /etc/hosts and /etc/sysconfig/network with the correct hostname value

2. Issue the command: hostname <correct hostname>

3. Issue the command: export HOSTNAME=<correct hostname>

4. Update the psa database. Easiest done by issuing the following command:

Code:
mysql -uadmin -p`cat /etc/psa/.psa.shadow` psa -e "update misc set val='<correct hostname>' where param='FullHostName'"

I have the same problem, impossible to check mails, but my hostname parameters is good, the updater have a problem too "autoinstaller busy"

any idea ?

greats thanks

same issue here

I have the same issue. Hostname is fine and the xinetd.d file is calling the correct smtp_psa. Anyone figure out a fix for this?

Trying 127.0.0.1...
Connected to localhost.

fixed it by updating

I was able to fix it by uninstalling spamassasin with rpm -e and then updating to 8.0.1.

Problems...

So I am working on a system with the same problem as this HTTPD_Include_D not defined. This is running on Fedora Core 2 and was using 7.5.4 just fine. Plesk was then updated to 8.1 which failed, and the system was taken back to 7.5.4.

Now we are unable to log in to any of the mail accounts on the system via webmail or pop3. The maillog file has numerous errors regarding this HTTPD_INCLUDE_D not defined.

We have checked the /etc/courier-imap/pop3d and /etc/courier-imap/imapd files for these lines:

AUTHMODULES="authpsa"
MAILPASSWD="/usr/local/psa/qmail/users/poppasswd"

and they are present, with the exception that our MAILPASSWD= is pointing to a different location, although it does appear to be correct for this system.

We tried restarting the mail system which didn't help. We checked the /etc/php.ini for session.auto_start and it was set to 0, changed this to 1 and restarted apache. Still no change. Host file appears to be intact.

We have noticed that since the downgrade back to 7.5.4, we have a variety of RPMs that appear to be related to Plesk 8.1 build. We believe that these are probably the cause now, and that we either need to successfully upgrade to 8.x or successfully downgrade to 7.5.4.

Additionally we noticed that the failures started after this line appeared in the maillog file:

Feb 22 18:43:05 ip-xx-xxx-xx-xx spamd[19450]: logger: removing stderr method

We have seen a lot of reference to SpamAssasin having lots of problems and it seems as though people have removed this. Hasn't been clear whether this corrects the issue or not. Additionally, we have seen reference to people forcing a Plesk install. Typically, forcing installs doesn't seem like to best option, but we are looking for the best path to 'up' at this point. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance (sorry for the long post, trying to be informative)

HEllo,

I di not meet this problem personally , but this error reminds me of suexec error:HTTPD_INCLUDE_D .

Just an ideea:)

Include D not defined

This likely means that the upgrade wasn’t finished correctly. If you get this error you need to finish the upgrade in order to resolve this issue. They should log in the /tmp directory for the upgrade logs to see why the upgrade didn’t complete itself.

pdxone solved

pdxone contracted us to assist in moving to a new server. We took a look at the old server that he mentioned in the post above and found that the Plesk upgrade had failed. Qmail had been upgraded but other parts of plesk had not. The HTTPD_INCLUDE_D variable is once of several similar variables that are set in /etc/psa/psa.conf. Several of the programs involved in email, have been patched by swsoft to read the psa.conf file including:
/var/qmail/bin/autoresponder,
/var/qmail/bin/relaycheck,
/var/qmail/bin/smtpauth,
/var/qmail/plugins/chkrcptto

To get email working we replaced these binaries with copies from another plesk 7.5 server. This allowed qmail to function properly.

The next problem was courier-imap was not working. We had to replace the /usr/lib/courier-imap/authmodules/authpsa binary with a copy from a 7.5 install.

Finally we had to run the mchk utility to rebuild the email configuration files.

At this point SMTP, POP and IMAP are working properly. Horde webmail is still broken - users can't authenticate. As a temporary solution, we installed squirrelmail.

If you have similar problems feel free to contact me via private message or at 1-866-649-7984.

/etc/hosts example

Hi,
I have the same problem here.
can somebody give me an example of their correct working /etc/hosts file?
It would be much of a help.
