  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
    If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Hello,

I have a question. My goal is to solely receive emails at mail@mydomain.com using the webmail feature of the Plesk panel. Is it necessary to open port 25 even if I'm only receiving emails? If not, could you please explain why I am unable to receive emails at mail@mydomain.com through my Plesk panel's webmail?

I would greatly appreciate your assistance on this matter.

Port 25 needs to be open, because other servers on the Internet all use it to exchange emails.
