  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question I have let's encrypt but i've got an certificate error.

cyxx

New Pleskian
hostname: x1nsystems.staticips.de

issued domain: intern.dom-sub.rocks

I could install a certificate (works fine)
when i checking the SSL i got an error:

Certificate Common Name (CN) and Hostname Match?

The hostname (intern.dom-sub.rocks) does NOT match the Common Name in the certificate (staticips.de). This certificate is currently invalid for this host.

how can i fix this problem?

Version

Plesk Onyx v17.5.3_build1705170317.16 os_Debian 8.0
OS Debian 8.7

kind regards
Jens

Hi cyxx,

did you add the domain "intern.dom-sub.rocks" as "alternative domain" ( domain alias ) to "x1nsystems.staticips.de", so that you are able to issue the certificate for both domains?

=> Getting Free SSL/TLS Certificate from Let's Encrypt

Or/and have as well a look at : => #13 to solve your issue.

If you still need further help, pls. consider to post the corresponding "panel.log" ( /var/log/plesk ) - entries, when you try to issue a certificate for the domain and the domain alias, or when you use the "expand" - command.
