• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Igor on vacation..

I wish Igor, the saviour of our PLESK installations, a great vacation.God knows he deserves it.

I cannot help but wonder why this big Parallels Inc cannot spare a few more people to PLESK for Linux.
It certainly is a wealthy company, judging from the amount we pay, and the apparent number of customers they have.

This forum is my ONLY way to solve some problems; and it turns out many of those problems are related to the software itself and not my fault.

Since unlike Linux, PLESK is virtually a closed box, with no documentation to its inner workings, we cannot solve many of the problems we encounter,
unless someone from Parallels is here to help us.

So, please Parallels, hire additional help, so we can not only get help while Igor is on vacation, but his huge load can be decreased, and we can get faster responses to our problems.

There are other people watching the forum while he is away. There was a detailed post by one of them regarding a problem someone was having with outbound anti-spam.

And if we, the users, find a nice juicy bug that affects more than one user or represents a security concern, you can be sure that it will be noted and acted upon even while he is away.

But at the end of the day, the real purpose of these forums is for us to help each other if we can, and generally this works well, I think?

I'm here and glad to help you again and again.
And thank you for your kind words :)
