  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Import existing e-mail accounts using RPC API

Hi,

I am migrating my own custom server setup to a more managed environment with the use of plesk. I don't have much domains so adding these and transferring files by hand isn't that much effort.

The only problem are passwords, I need the following added/imported/changed to plesk:

- The unix system account, I have the hash of /etc/passwd
- Email accounts, I have the username/password combination with the password in MD5

I tried creating a RPC API command and adding a mail account using the password type crypt, but unfortunately this isn't md5 so I was unable to login.

I have full access to the plesk server, plus the knowledge to come around with SSH, MySQL and different types of scripting. Are there any possibilities or should I contact everyone they should supply new passwords? I'd rather not of course.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Kind regards.
