• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Incomplete "fix" ?

RodStr

Basic Pleskian
Implemented this fix this past Friday:
http://kb.odin.com/en/116394

It is the one for the Recycler folder filling up with log files due to a bug in the statistics.exe and runtask.exe programs not properly cleaning up after themselves.

That implemented GREAT and the problem seems to have stopped getting worse.

However, what is NOT addressed in that article is what to do with the massive quantities of logs that are already in that folder.

Can they just be manually deleted or will that screw up some "match-up" in the Plesk management database ?

High priority for us as that drive is way too full for comfort right now.

Nobody replied... so took a chance, created a VM snapshot and went ahead and deleted the files and folders in the GUID subfolder of Recycler.
No issues with processing, all seems to be ok.

One thing I did notice however... since implementing this work-around, I no longer receive an email notification of nightly processing completion.
Any thoughts there ?
