• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question Incremental backups and deleted files

Andrea Bampi

New Pleskian
Hello,
I didn't find any precise info about this topic, so I'm opening a new thread.
Simple question... what happens when a file is deleted from the backupped domain? Does the subsequent incremental backup contain any info about the removed files or does it just consider the changed and added ones (until the next full backup)?
I didn't do a full backup/restore cycle to verify this, but I'm sure you already have an answer.
Thanks

The newly created increment contains all the changes that have occurred since the creation of the previous increment or the full backup.

Thanks, I assume you mean that also deleted files are tracked somewhere (I didn't find where, checking the files in the tar.gz).
