• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
    If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

alright.. so this is the first time i've posted here, so go easy on me.

anyway, pretty much what the subject says. i don't seem to know what's wrong, or what is causing it to fail while trying to install.

i've ran apt-get -f install, but it just wants to remove packages from plesk. even if i tell it yes, it still fails on install. can anyone help me out?

ok, so i think i might have gotten past that finally. i went to try installing plesk 9 again via web-installer, but it said it was already installed.

it's also spit out a few more errors, so if anyone could give me a hand, that would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same problem

I have the same problem with a clean server install, Why will Parallels not help us?

Hi I've had the same problem, but have managed to find a way round it...

I think it was caused because I set a password for mysql on install...

To get round this I've created the following in /root/.my.cnf

[Client]
password = mymysqlpassword

then I ran

apt-get -f install

and all seems to be ok now :)

Hope this helps someone else!
