• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question Install Plesk

cliccasu

Basic Pleskian
i wanted to install plesk in centos 7, but i don't recognize the intel network card and raid volume 1. with ubuntu ok. What does this mean

thank you

Thanks.

I saw centos 7 is old for my configuration like ubuntu 18.04.

Alternatively I was thinking of CloudLinux 8 or Almalinux 64 bit.

Is CloudLinux OS Solo compatible with PLESK?

I DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO

hello @cliccasu ,

in general Plesk supports modern OS'es below
AlmaLinux8, CloudLinux8, Ubuntu 20.04, Debian 10, RHEL8 (see full list of supported OS'es here)

don't recognize the intel network card and raid volume 1
this issue is not related to Plesk at all. It is possible to install Plesk on CentOS7, but it uses net cards and raid storages that were recognized by operating system.
I mean Plesk does not manage drivers for network cards or data storages

As you wants to prepare clean installation we'd recommend to use some modern OS that will be supported as more as it possible.
If you better know rpm-based OS'es, it might be free AlmaLinux8 or commercial CloudLinux8 and RHEL8.

If you know better deb-based OS'es then free Debian10 and Ubuntu 20.0.4 are your choice.
