• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Installing YUM?

Are you getting errors? Just not installing? A little more description of the problem would help.

Ah well i made a dir in root called yum, did the wget and then tar which it has done, however i cannot get the server to see yum is installed..

So im guessing i didnt install it.. but i cant work out where the installer is..

tar doesn't compile yum. Your best results would be to get the RPM version for your OS. Try visiting www.atomicrocketturtle.com (Click Downloads, go through Atomic, then your OS version (2 is FC2, 4 is FC4, etc.). Locate the RPM, right click, and copy the link location. Then wget it, and issue an rpm -Uvh <the filename here>.

Alternatively, you can locate the RPM through rpmfind.net or another source. I don't limit myself to just one source, though I find that ART (atomicrocketturtle.com) seems to have 99.9% of what I need/want.
