• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

IP Migration: Howto assign new IP to all clients

eugenevdm

Regular Pleskian
We are in the process of IP migration. I would like to know how to assign a new IP to all the clients on our Plesk Linux Ubuntu 8.04 installation. Best case scenario I just want to assign a new IP alias: Worst case scenario I want to change the existing IP. For now just adding a new IP will be sufficient. In the future I will need to know how to mass-update all the A (for WWW) records. We are doing the WWW server IP migration first (we have Expand). Later down the line I will also want to update all the MX records.

Does someone how to add a new IP to multiple clients?

I can suggest you try to use 'ip_pool' utility (more details with '/usr/local/psa/bin/ip_pool --help') or use Plesk API RPC (documentation here )

Thank you I will check it out. For our Central Mail server we used this so far:

How can I do mass IP addresses change in Plesk Control Panel?

But the difficult part lies ahead. I will update this forum with the progress.
