• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

IUSR and IWPD password problems

Regular Pleskian
Are we the only people having the problems where sites ask for username/password after resetting the FTP password?

It seems after resetting an FTP password through Plesk it sometimes does not correctly set all of the IIS user's passwords causing the site to fail.

This is something we have had since 7.0 however it still isnt fixed in 7.5. I've emailed support, however they didnt make any comments on this but I'm not sure if thats due to the language barrier?

I have the same problem on my system.

I first seen the problem on 7.5.4

There is a hotfix for 7.5.4, I already have this and have applied it.

But, this is a problem we have had in all versions of 7.0 and 7.5 from time to time.... it was much worse in 7.5.4 which the hotfix has fixed.

But, there problem is still there sometimes.

FTP passwd change prob

Yep - I've had this problem since ver 7.0 and was hoping for plesk to resolve it sometime.

I haven't installed the hotfix yet but will email them for it now and hopefully it will help.

Cheers
