  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Java Applications not showing for customer (but will to admin)

Ross K

Basic Pleskian
Afternoon all,

A customer wanted to mess around with a Java app and we have no objections (although it's not something we offer on our service plans). So I manually "customised" his service plan and enabled Java Applications and set the limit to two. Now, when I login to the customers control panel (via admin), I can see the Java Applications icon under Websites & Domain, advanced section. However, when the customer logs in using his credentials, the Java Applications icon isn't there. He has sent me a screenshot to prove it.

I'm at a loss as to why this appears for me on the customers account but not for him. Any ideas, or is this a possible bug?

Kind regards,

Ross

Did you enable it in his service plan PERMISSIONS? and NOT just the number of Java applications but Permission!
