  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Large spikes since 11 #46 update

Basic Pleskian
Hi all,

I have 30 servers.. of which 2 have started to show massive increases in processor use.

I have isolated 1 vhost on each server as the main cause of the problem. In both cases these domains are using scripts to either push or pull feeds from external services eg google shopping etc.

In both cases the load on the server has jumped from 1 - 3 to 11 -15. The time frame of these jumps match nicely against the installation dates for #42 ie yesterday for 1 server and 4 days ago for another .. at which point the processor loads started to spike drastically.

In both cases php-cgi processes are continuously spawned : http://screencast.com/t/PwuxPm0AdA if killed they will instantly spring back.

the release notes dont seem to suggest any changes which might explain this.. anyone got any ideas?

Switching the domains to mod_php causes the load to drop slightly but all most kills all sites on the server.

Might there be anything in the error logs for these domains that might indicate what the problem is? For example lack of resources, something going mad....?
