• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
    If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

viisauksena

New Pleskian
is there a way to get a list of all email and email-aliases (forwarding - adresses) via terminal ?
and is there a way to email to this emails from email with a terminal command?

want to write a script which autocreate ejabber (xmpp) clients for every existing email (including the aliases)

If I am not mistaken, you are trying to link instant messaging to email. Is that correct?

If so, be aware of the fact(s) that XMPP and SMTP do not mix perfectly and that the Mbox mail structure (QMail/Postfix) is not suited at all.

It is actually not recommend at all to combine mail and XMPP.

It is better to use some existing solution, entirely designed around the XMPP protocol.

Can you explain (in detail) what you want to achieve with XMPP and mail?

Regards....

# plesk db
mysql> select concat(mail.mail_name,"@",domains.name) as address from mail,domains,accounts where mail.dom_id=domains.id and mail.account_id=accounts.id order by address;

@trialotto i see no problem in making ejabberd accounts according to output from plesk bin mail --list
and that is/was indeed what i wanted to accomplish. Quite rudimentary but it worked - for me there is no need for advanced interoperationality between mail and xmpp/jabber - i just need the accounts set up
