  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
    If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Domain: protech.media
Mailserver: Postfix
IMAP: Dovecot
SMTP on Port 587 enabled

I´m currently trying to get the mail-components to work. Web mail is working but I can't use Thunderbird or Outlook to connect to my server. Maybe I messed up with the DNS Settings.

I already tried to restart dovecot & postfix. I also tried plesk repair mail -y -v .



I would really appreciate your help.

what email servers you have configured in outlook/thunderbird , also check the logs at /usr/local/psa/var/log/maillog on the server which will give you more idea of whats happening. another possible reason if you have a local firewall running , you will need to open the required ports too in your local firewall .
