  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Hello,

I have a control panel server running 10.3.1.
it is possible to run a separate server for the mail?

Which can be reassigned to the control panel through another network port?
So that the web server (control panel) and run the mail server separately?

Sincerely,
Remco

Which can be reassigned to the control panel through another network port?

Please can you explain what you mean by this?

It is possible to have a different server handling email to the one running Plesk and handling websites. You would simply set up the DNS for the domain to point the MX records to the server running the email.

If you needed a user to be able to add/delete/modify mail accounts on the mail server via the Plesk control panel then you would need to add this functionality in some way using some custom scripts and the events handler.

Faris.
