  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question Mail servers not resolving

albertax

New Pleskian
Hi fellow Pleskians,

Sorry for the "newbie" question. I'm a part time web designer based here in NZ and i've started hosting my clients websites and mail servers. I have a couple of questions:

1. Name Servers
Plesk has the ability to also act as a Nameserver - but when I point my records at the domain registar to NS1.MYDOMAIN.COM, it does not resolve? Where as if i point it to my Vultr nameserver, it propogates fairly quickly. Any ideas on what could cause this issue?

2. Seperating Mail From Hosting/Server load
How do i seperate mail from hosting? I have a 1GHZ Virtaul CPU, 4GB 50GB Vultr instance that is hosting around 4 websites built with Processwire, all with e-mail accounts. Its sitting at about 5% usage, when should i start thinking about upgrading? How many websites can something of these specs manage?

Any help or assistance would be great.
