  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

MailEnable 8 and Plesk 11.5.x for windows

Basic Pleskian
Hello,

I just noticed that MailEnable has upgraded to version 8.0 that now is compatible with IMAP (imap activated), is it safe to upgrade ?

Thank you a lot

Javier

It is not officially supported by Plesk. We are working on it. I suggest you just wait a bit when we make it supported officially.

Hi Igorg,
Would you give us the ETA when MailEnable 8.0 will be supported officially?
Is the IMAP in the MaiEnable6.5 which comes with Plesk 11.5.x for windows an evaluative edition? If yes, how long is the evaluation period?
I ordered a 1and1 dedicated server come with plesk 11. Will I get the mailenable 8.0 offically supported before the end of the evaluation expired?
Thanks.

Yes, you should have 11.5.30 with latest microupdate before start using ME8.

Changing mail enable version in registry help me. You can try to change the mail enable version to lower once, go to server components section and try again.
