• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Issue Mails not received from AOL accounts

Julkvesan

New Pleskian
Hi all,

We can not receive emails from AOL accounts (sending is not a problem).

I am a little desperate because I don't know where to look or what to do to solve this problem.

We have deactivate spamassasin, deactivated check incoming email, add to white list aol ips, etc.

Usually aol clients get this answer:

Thanks and regards.

Does your domain have an MX record? Sometimes this is omitted, and it usually works because SMTP servers will then use the wildcard A-record to deliver mail. But in some cases SMTP servers do not, and as your error message indicates in your case the *.es domain is not found - at least not as an MX record.

I don't understand anything...

After PTR configuration we have received one mail from an aol account into info@juvesa.es

Second try sendind to info@juvesa.es from aol account, same error:

Intermittent results would indicate a DNS related issue; possibly with the sender's DNS servers unable to resolve the domain. If you just added a PTR record, it could still be propagating.
