  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question MariaDB 10.2 - Plesk Obsidian 18.0.37

Basic Pleskian
Will Plesk support MariaDB 10.2? And will there be an update in plesk ui, or even an automatic update or something like that?

We use Plesk Obsidian 18.0.37 and still do just have Maria DB 10.1.

With "PHP" Plesk has a great resolution, we can install different versions and each website can choose which one to use. Would be great, if the installer supports to install / update MariaDB like PHP. (Yes, i know it is "different").

Thank you and have a great day.

Hello Igor,

thanks a lot for the link.

But Plesk can't keep MariaDB up to date, like it does with other 3rd party extensions, php and so on, or?

Plesk builds PHP packages for hosting, but Plesk doesn't ship MariaDB; it only downloads it from the original OS vendor repository.
