• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Migration tool and root problems

femotvaff

Regular Pleskian
Hi, I was using the Plesk migration tool to migrate some subscriptions from server 1 to server 2.

the migration was failure and after that if I try to connect with SSH root (putty) the connection is closed from server (same with other tools: closed by server exitcode 254)

what happened? any idea? :/
What I can try to do?

I can access plesk, but... what can I do from plesk ?

check firewall rules, status of sshd service at least.

I can't access with ssh (terminal/putty) is there a way to check/restart sshd service from plesk?

I tried to reboot server too. But nothing.

sshd in on, is not the problem.
even because I can insert user and password only if password is correct the connection is closed.

and firewall is not on my plesk 12
other ideas ? from plesk?

Thank you

SOLVED

the problem was in the file etc/security/limit.conf that I changed before last migration.

in rescue mode found checking
/log/secure
