• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

The migration tool really needs help.. The SINGLE step in the migration between two super PC's should not take hours..
1 domain, a simple single domain, and THIS step took over an hour so far, still going:

Well, how much space is occupied by the subscription? And how many files?

The initial sync can take several hours, depending on the amount of data and number of files. From my own experience, the initial sync for 300 domains, 400GB of data and 4 million files takes about 6-7 hours.

The update-sync (the step you do just before switching to the new server) is a lot faster of course, depending on the amount of changed data between the initial sync and the update.

It's a small subscription, but I believe it has many (mailman) mailing lists of several thousands EACH.
It seems the migration tool is telling the other tool to "add this email address to that mailing list" one by one.. o_O
Each email seems to take 10 seconds, so I am estimating 27 HOURS to migrate this one subscription..

Actually it takes less than that -- maybe 2 seconds each.. so I am revising it to take about 5 hours.

This will only be done during the initial sync. The refresh will be much quicker.

So I suggest you let it run until it's finished and then you do a refresh and measure the time it takes again.
