• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Modify domain

CahitE

Basic Pleskian
On the old plesk we were able to add www prefix easily with selecting domain and choosing modify option but on plesk 10 how should we do it ?

as i know this option is no longer available. domains are automatically available with and without www.

Hi,

I have the same problem: The www prefix won't work for new domains I create in Plesk 10 / Linux ?

I tried adding the www zone file in DNS management but nada ? I restarted the server after that as well.

???

Thanks,

Danny

Ok, I see.

I read the knowledge base articles.

1) Is it sufficient to just add the "www" prefix as a new record from the "Plesk/Settings/DNS Templates settings/" ?
2) How long does it take for a new record to take effect when adding it the actual domain records ? I manually added a "www" CNAME record to one domain in partiular but it's not resolving right away ?

Thanks

Danny
