  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
    If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

MSDE & SQL2005 Express on same server

Is there any conflict if we have Plesk 8.1 with MSDE and want to install SQL 2005 Express as a separate instance? Then users can use both on the same server. Do we only need to use a unique port?

It seems it is not currently possible to have MSDE and SQL2005 Express both work from plesk even if they use a different port. I hope someone at swsoft will add this ability ASAP.
